Welcome at Shalom!Both our restaurants - Shalom I and Shalom II - are recommended to everybody who is looking for a different menu. The menus in both restaurants are slightly different but with a lot of variety altogether.We are happy to welcome you at Shalom I and Shalom II most of all for delicious food combined with hospitality and service with a smile!In addition, in our Ladino Sisha Lounge one can easily relax and enjoy a cocktail, live acts and a shisha - the first and only in Albufeira!

In April 2006 restaurant Grillroom Shalom Algarve opened its doors. After 30 years of experience in the catering industry in the Netherlands, we decided to start a restaurant in the sunny and beautiful Algarve.
The restaurant owes its name to the combination of Dutch-Israeli nationality of its owners (father & son – Yadin & Ido). Meanwhile, during the second season Pauwelijn (mother), Yoniet (daughter) and Oded (Son in Law) also joined us to make our family team complete. In April 2009 Yoniet & Oded have expanded Shalom
Algarve with a brand new BISTRO & PANCAKE HOUSE across the street
on the Avenida da Liberdade 40. Definitely worth visiting!
Shalom means ‘peace’, but also ‘welcome’. The restaurant may be described as unusual as its name, while we offer a different kind of food than most of the established restaurants in our direct surrounding. Therefore we recommend our restaurant to anyone seeking for a bit of change in the usual restaurant menu.
We decided to change the old establishment into a new restaurant with a natural and informal atmosphere and a delightful kitchen. And at night, the restaurant is transformed into a cosy café where one can listen to nice music while drinking one of our lovely cocktails or other drinks.
Our restaurant is situated in the historical old town of Albufeira at Avenida da Liberdade number 7. At the front, we have a big terrace with a nice atmosphere.
Until 5 pm we serve our daily menu with diverse sandwiches, daily dishes, salads and of course snacks! We also welcome you to enjoy our specialties during the daytime. For our diverse dinner menu we did not forgot the vegetarians among us. Some of our specialities are:
MIXED GRILL
SHALOM II After two seasons of wonderful time in “ Shalom I ” our family business, we (Yoniet and Oded) decided to add a new taste to the restaurant by expanding Shalom I and open a brand new Shalom II Pancakes, Ribs & Grills. In April 2009 we opened our doors. In our menu, recipes and ambience you will find Dutch and Israeli characteristics. The reason is of course our nationalities.
We serve meat specials of the house. Our Ribs are made by special recipe and technique. They are very tender and tasty. You can eat the best Ribs in town as much as you can! Our Chicken Divine is recommended as well for its tenderness and taste. More specials are marinated pork chops, lamb chops, chicken schnitzel, cordon bleu, pasta salads and the double 100% beef hamburger.
The pancakes that we serve are traditional Dutch pancakes and are homemade by secret recipe. They are big, tasty and can be filled with anything you like from our list of tasty ingredients. You can choose Dutch yellow cheese, vegetables, ham, bacon, salmon and lots more… Not only that, for the sweet lovers we have pancakes with sugar syrup, apple, banana, ice-cream, apple, cinnamon and, cherries and lots more as well! are great for breakfast, lunch, brunch but can also make a perfect dinner.
Vegetarians have great choice of good filled pancakes, salads, omelets, pasta salad and the burgers with vegetables.
For the young ones we do children’s menu as well! To add fun to your children's evening we have pictures and coloring.
Furthermore we have a big lunch menu. Until 17:00 o’clock you have, in addition to the menu, a choice of sandwiches, toasties & eggs which you can have at our sunny terrace. We turn our terrace into a romantic atmosphere with candle lights and good music at night.

Shalom I at Avenida da liberdade 7 is across the street from Shalom II. Shalom I serves mouthwatering traditional Israeli dishes like shoarma, chicken sashlick, hummus and falafel. Especially recommended is the Mixed-Grill for two with a selection of different kind of meats. All made by secret family recipe! Definitely worth visiting!!
